when I’m comfortable with the length of the queue
Sorry for no update today— I made a post about it earlier but Tumblr decided not to post it I guess
My last post said updates would come back this week, but I changed my mind; I’d rather take a whole week off than run through many weeks of 2 updates, so instead updates will return Next Thursday. Sorry again for how wack Part II’s update schedule has been.
No pages tonight or Saturday, sorry! I appreciate how patient people have been, and while I hate delaying updates, Three Apples is essentially a hobby project, and both Kefkafloyd and I have lives to carry out, so don’t be surprised by delays like this. Thanks guys for being pretty polite and chill about missed updates, see you on Tuesday.

Three Apples is in color now
Theoretically, no. I still intend to update Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
I may take more frequent short breaks (ie. skipping 1-3 update days), but that has more to do with the pages’ increased complexity and my own life than it does with the color.
here’s an answer for that person
I have never used an RSS feed, but does this sound like it solves your problem?

I’m gathering that by cover you mean a voice-acting cover, in which case sure! I’m fine with any sort of work based on the comic as long as A. credit is given and B. whatever’s made isn’t mean-spirited or otherwise unsavory
I’m not totally sure what you’re basing the idea of the story moving in a “new direction” after Part I on, since Part I is the only part you’ve seen yet. The key points of the story have been set since the beginning, so there’s not much in the way of new directions or dropped plots going on.
I also don’t know who you mean by the “Apple Family three” since there are four main Apple Family characters on the show and only two have appeared in Three Apples- one of whom was absent for most of Part I and is back in the narrative now.
in short: no I don’t think so
There are four shards; three main ones of equivalent size and one smaller one.

The story just kind of formed in my head as one of those far-off projects that you think about but never actually follow through with.
I guess Season 3 is what got me to go for it, because when I saw parts of the canon change, I realized this wasn’t a project I could indefinitely put off for some later time because it depended on a certain interplay with the real show. It also provided a meaty personal project that would help me gain a little experience in comicking and storytelling in general. I don’t remember any big moment where I decided to “suddenly do this”, it just slowly became more real.
Your question suggests that you aren’t aware that I have a personal blog where I post bits of silly art fairly regularly. I also have more traditional art which I rarely post because it’s more personal and I’m not as confident presenting it, but it’s safe to say yes, I have drawn a little bit in the past year.
Hi y’all- just a quick update; I don’t like making entirely non-comic posts, but the pages I told you would becoming Tuesday the 17th will probably have to be pushed to Wednesday the 18th- I don’t really want to move the date, but I’d much prefer to release the final pages as a set! Just a heads up.

Nope- the whole Three Apples story is all set and it’s a straight shot from here to the end, so waiting for the right asks to facilitate it would just be kind of awkward.
You are free (and encouraged) to send feedback to me, but if you send messages to Applejack she will unfortunately not receive them.

Three Apples costs $0 and some free time to produce. Save your cash for charity and/or Applejack merchandise
I’ll interpret this as “explain the current progress of Three Apples”, so for the sake of transparency I currently have:
Outlined the whole comic
Scripted Part 1, Part 2, and about half of Part 3
Sketched 39 pages
Produced 13 complete pages (Page 14 is sitting in SAI as we speak)
When I’m free, I can sketch or ink between one and three pages per day, so I’d say it’s going well.
You can print the pages out and put them in a binder if you’d like!
The page design of Three Apples is designed around display on the dashboard. I have no experience with printing and Three Apples was not designed for print, so I’d have to totally overhaul the pages and research how to print to get any sort of decent printing.
I’d also feel a little guilty selling a fan project that I did basically as Baby’s First Comic. I am aiming for quality and I’m proud of what I’ve produced so far, but every page I finish shows me something I still need to learn. The good news is, that theoretically means each page should be better than the last.
This will be easier to answer once the comic is published, but suffice to say I like Applejack and it’s no secret that she’s commonly overlooked.
When I have something that needs naming or a space that needs filling, I’m not above a little reference comedy, it’s fun to sneak in little shoutouts. They’re on the peripherals, though. Working in references naturally is more difficult than you might think, and a comic run on references would get unfunny and incohesive really fast.
