When I have something that needs naming or a space that needs filling, I’m not above a little reference comedy, it’s fun to sneak in little shoutouts. They’re on the peripherals, though. Working in references naturally is more difficult than you might think, and a comic run on references would get unfunny and incohesive really fast.

I’m excited to finally announce the project I’ve been working on all summer- my pony fancomic Three Apples! It sounds less exciting when I type it out but trust me I’m excited. Three Apples comprises three parts of roughly 40 pages each.

Part I begins Labor Day (Monday, September 2) at three-apples.tumblr.com with further updates posted Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays!
